Is this the Alabama Security Regulatory Board website?

Does completing training issue my license?

No. Training and licensing are separate. A course provider may document completion of applicable training; the Board decides whether to issue a license.

How much unarmed training is required?

The current Alabama rule includes a minimum of eight hours of applicable classroom training for an unarmed security officer applicant. Read the full rule because exemptions and other requirements may apply.

What does the Board currently say about fingerprints?

The Board forms page says two sets of fingerprint cards are required with applications except Certified Trainer applications. It also requires a completed and printed ALEA release form with applications other than the Certified Trainer Application.

What are the current personal application fees?

The current personal application lists a $75 application fee and $37 background-check fee, totaling $112 for that application path. Other application types and transactions may differ; confirm the exact amount on the current form.
