License Renewal

All licenses issued by the Alabama Security Regulatory Board are valid for two years and must be renewed before they expire. Armed security professionals also have annual firearm requalification responsibilities.

🔁 License Renewal Process

  • Download the renewal form at asrb.alabama.gov/forms
  • Submit updated information — address, employer, etc.
  • Pay renewal fees (typically $75)
  • Include proof of firearm requalification (for armed guards)
  • Mail to ASRB before your expiration date

🔫 Firearm Requalification

  • Must be conducted annually through a Certified Trainer Level II
  • Involves live-fire drills and safety refresher
  • Proof must be submitted along with your renewal
